Everything you need to know about UmpireDuty — from bookings to umpire listings.
UmpireDuty is an online marketplace that connects clubs and individual players with professional sports umpires. You can search for umpires by country, state, sport, and league — then book them directly through the platform.
Creating an account and browsing umpires is always free. What you pay to book depends on who you are: individual players book up to 10 fixtures a month for free, then $9/month for unlimited; clubs are $29/month for unlimited bookings, after a 30-day free trial. Umpires are never charged to list, be found, or take bookings.
Only new bookings pause. Your existing fixtures, your messages, your reviews and umpire search all keep working exactly as before. The allowance resets at the start of each month, or you can subscribe at any time to remove the limit.
Not to work. Listing your profile, setting availability, receiving bookings and getting paid by clubs are all free, and credential review is free too. The only optional extra is the Verified badge at $5/month, which marks your profile as verified and lifts you in search results.
We currently support the USA, India, and more countries are being added regularly by our admin team. Each country has its own list of states, sports, and leagues.
We currently support Cricket and are actively onboarding umpires for other sports. More sports are added as umpires register. You can see all currently active sports on the homepage.
Register as a Member (player or club), then go to the booking flow. Select your country, state, sport, and league. Browse available umpires, pick a time slot, add the venue details, and confirm. The umpire receives your request and confirms via the platform.
Yes. You can register for multiple sports and leagues. Each booking lets you select which sport and league it's for — and you can browse umpires who are qualified for each.
You can cancel any upcoming booking from your dashboard on the web portal or mobile app. The umpire is notified automatically. Please cancel as early as possible as a courtesy to the umpire.
Not currently. The Platform facilitates the booking and communication between members and umpires, but payment arrangements are made directly between both parties. Payment processing is on our roadmap.
You can report a no-show by contacting us at hello@umpireduty.com with your booking details. Repeated no-shows by an umpire result in account suspension. You can also leave an honest review to alert other members.
Click "Get Started" and select the Umpire role during registration. You'll set up your profile, add the sports and leagues you officiate, and configure your weekly availability. Once live, clubs and players in your region can discover and book you.
Every umpire profile shows their certification level (Amateur, Semi-Pro, Professional), the sports they are qualified to officiate, and verified ratings from past bookings. Umpires are required to accurately represent their credentials — misrepresentation is grounds for removal.
Yes. Our iOS and Android apps (launching soon) let you manage your availability calendar, accept bookings, and chat with members on the go. The web portal at portal.umpireduty.com works fully on mobile browsers in the meantime.
